Get Connected Icon Hospitality Volunteers typically work 4 hour shifts on assigned days. Hours of operation vary depending upon event & non-event days. Hospitality Committee shifts typically begin on-site beginning the Saturday prior to WCBCC through the Sunday following WCBCC.

Description

The Hospitality Committee is an Operations committee responsible for providing food services, contract rider fulfillment and hospitality areas for performing artists, VIP’s, volunteers and GARR runners.  The committee is also responsible for maintaining backstage areas and upholding a professional level of service. 

 

Involvement & Time Commitment

  • Event long
  • Evening and late-night / early morning work sometimes required

 

Qualifications

  • Volunteers with knowledge of food service encouraged
  • Ability to provide a high level of service
  • Attend required training

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pre-event: clean, setup and prepare hospitality areas, performer trailers and dining areas backstage, including inventory of all equipment and supplies
  • Provide in-trailer hospitality, distribute messages and supplies between areas/stages
    • During events: prepare and serve meals and refreshments to performers and volunteers
    • Maintain clean workstations according to state and local heath codes
  • Post-event:  Proper disposal of surplus food as well as cleaning of VIP and hospitality areas and trailers and break down of backstage dining areas
  • Support internal committee structure
  • Maintain communication and asset allocation system with Operations staff member
  • Attend committee orientation and training
