Get Connected Icon Transportation Volunteers typically work 4 hour shifts on assigned days. Hours of operation vary depending upon event & non-event days. Transportation Committee shifts typically begin on-site beginning the Saturday prior to WCBCC through the Sunday following WCBCC.

Description

The Transportation Committee is an Operations committee responsible for inventory and control of MIM Golf Carts, operating festival shuttle services, coordinating and / or providing ground transportation for performing artists and VIP’s, control of vehicular access into the Festival event site and parking areas inside the festival gates.  This includes media, vendors, performers, VIP’s and emergency personnel.

 

Involvement & Time Commitment

  • Event long
  • Heavy involvement for WCBCC load-in and load-out
  • Early mornings, day, evening and late evening
  • Daytime volunteers encouraged

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to assess needs of vehicles entering the park
  • Adherence to all vehicle rules
  • Attend required training

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Control vehicular access to event site
  • Supervise and assist staff, vendors, performers, sponsors, media and participating WCBCC teams by providing transportation or access to the necessary means of transportation
  • Provide Communication to staff regarding vehicles entering event site
  • Coordinate with MIM Operations and event security to ensure adherence to traffic control plan and vehicle access rules within event site
  • Attend Committee Meetings
  • Prohibit unauthorized use of Golf Carts
  • Monitor Fuel Stations and Golf Cart Storage to mitigate loss and theft
  • Organize and implement in-park artist and VIP transportation for all events
  • Provide transportation services within event site for staff, volunteers, sponsors, judges, etc. through operating a golf cart shuttle throughout event site
